Corporate insolvencies on the rise

Data from the insolvency service, a government agency that deals with bankruptcies and companies in liquidation, last month showed that there were a whopping 6,342 registered company insolvencies in England and Wales in the three months to June 2023. This is the highest figure recorded since the second quarter of 2009.
