UK private equity trust net asset values are currently roughly 30 percent above share price valuations, as data from the Association of Investment Companies shows. The gap is nearly as wide as it has ever been, suggesting that share prices are cheap or asset values are far in excess of what could be achieved in a sale tomorrow. Could these discounted values re-ignite investor interest toward PE funds, and perhaps even add to the stock piles of white powder currently in the market?
